Nothing much to add to what has already been said to be honest.

We've brought in some decent players early in the window, shipped out a striker who some thought was a £10 million pay cheque and added some unknown quantities on the strike of the clock at 11p.m last-night(showmanship at it's best from the Turkish media mogul).

It's now down to Rosenior to mould them into the Team and show us 'his' worth with 'his' players,I wish him well, starting today with an extremely difficult fixture UTT!

Should’ve stayed at Chelsea tbh. The outcome this year would’ve probably been the same for him i.e. a loan to a League 1 team.

But even after a spell in League 1 he might never be good enough to play for Chelsea. After a year of playing week in week out in L1 (if he plays regularly) then he might be ready to challenge for a first team spot with us next season (Provided we are still in the Championship - which we probably will be)

If he was still at Chelsea and had a good L1 spell chances are he'd be sold to that L1 team.

Solskjær got them 2nd in the PL, and had them playing free flowing, attacking football. He's far more highly regarded amongst United fans than Mourinho who despite winning the Europa League was otherwise awful for the development of players at United and didn't progress the club much at all. Solskjær was chased out because of the "PE Teacher" jibe that he didn't deserve the role, which is exactly what you're doing here with Rosenior. Which is why I found it funny you brought Solskjær up. :)

You said successful, not highly-regarded by the fans. Winning a trophy is more successful than finishing 2nd (Mourinho also finished 2nd with Man Utd in addition to a trophy). Changing the goalposts mid argument is typical of you.

Solskjær was so good he hasn’t had a job in two years since leaving Man Utd <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Is this an argument? Thought we were having a discussion. Yes, I think Solskjær was more successful, he had a greater positive impact on United than Mourinho. If you're going to purely define success by trophies won then fine, Mourinho was technically more successful. But I suspect of all post-Fergie managers, most United fans would say that Solskjær had the best spell but was hounded out the second he had a faltering season, even though they were far worse under his successor and the jury is still out on ETH. Grant McCann was also a more successful manager than Steve Bruce for us as he won more league titles.

Do you think sometimes managers have other reasons for not taking other jobs? Do you seriously think if a manager who had taken a side to 2nd in the PL wanted another job they would struggle to find any offers?

I imagine our manager to be a Colin Cooper to other manager’s Mark Corrigan:

Hi, Liam, listen, buddy, could you do me a favour and take a punt on a grunt? Yeah, farmyard fodder, a day player. No overheads, no holiday, no contract. Cut and shut, a phone pig. Ha-ha! Exactly, cool, bro, thanks.

Vale
Ebiowei
M’hand
Simons

and so it goes.

M'Hand, Simons and Vale weren't Rosenior but otherwise I think this is an insightful post.

Solskjær was poo. That’s why he was sacked, not because people on Twitter said he was poo.

Maybe, but surely he has to earn his place? And as we don't watch him day in, day out, then I'm not convinced any of us are well-placed for that one. Or is it because he came from the conveyor belt that is Chelsea and not Swindon Town, or the like?

Why sign him on a permanent in the first place? I highly doubt he swapped being a Chelsea development player for being a Hull City development player without some expectation of being a first team player. He would have far more resources and opportunities at his disposal to develop as a Chelsea u23.

He’s now gone backwards from a loan to the 2nd tier last season where apparently lots of clubs had interest in him to a loan to the 3rd tier. So he’s gone backwards.

****ed about, factamundo, case closed.

Maybe he thought he was better than he is. Maybe he underestimated the quality of the Championship and the players he would be competing for a starting berth with. Again - who would we have dropped last season for him to play? If his career has gone backwards maybe he should take a look at himself.

Next transfer window opens 1st January 2024.
When does the ITK thread open? I have a rumour I need to post.

Some stuff I heard from my industry contacts:

Docherty is likely to leave in January - but could be the summer too

Some other squad players will leave in January, can't provide names just yet, but will become clear in January or May/June latest

We are deffo looking at strengthening in the striker department. There could be some potential movement in January.

I've also heard that a few players are unhappy with the current management. Some other players quite like it too though.

There could well be a surprise player leaving (other ITK types will know) as he has suitors, but a firm offer might not come just yet. One to watch.

Just passing on what I've heard
