Unfortunately with such a big loan fee involved I don't think there will be. But yes it will look rather silly if he's banging them in and we cop a few injuries.

Think someone calculated Oscar's goals were worth 15 points and we stayed up by 14

With a loan fee paid, I don't think there is a break clause
 
On the possible surprise....
Told the domino effect that promised to deliver some late drama has gone against City and that will now not happen.

Connolly, Allahyar, Twine, even Tufan if needed. It’s not like Oscar brought anything particularly special to the team that no one else can provide, he was a poacher

Philogene was obviously 'done' quite early for that short announcement video, so dunno if that means he's available, but to your point, not sure what else would have delayed the announcement.
