Are we saying Salah is untouchable here ?
Cause tbh I would give Salah the rest
He has a lot on his mind and there are plenty of games for him if he stays
So how about him

according to klopp he is.

according to.me its 200mil amd he is out of there and I'll drive him to the airport.

Good things.

a) gomez didnt balls it up.

b) quansah made his prem debut for the club.

c) no injuries

d) szoboszlai is a player

e) alisson is truly world class.

f) two tough away days down. 7 points out of 9 on the board.

yeah we just got lucky after digging in but newcastle only have themselves to blame.

in the round though after all the positives the realists know we are a long long way off the standard of getting near city.

12 months ago we started v Fulham away and got ran off the park, we dug in and fought to get a draw. fight is not usually a big issue for us.

the fact we are getting ran off the park still is the real issue. with no injuries like jota and firmino and diaz last year we'd have gotten 4th imo. we might get it this year but that's about it

hopefully we can tie something together and win the europa. that is my hope as we approach the 3rd annual post transfer window depression thread poll.

Suspect VVD will get more than one game when they review the footage and see him saying "****you" or "****off" to the referee just before walking off <laugh>

they don't review such things, they review the refs report.

I'm sure that ref will write it in such a way he gets 10 matches.

Okay, it'll go in the referees report and we'll either accept it and he'll get a longer ban or we'll challenge it and then the footage WILL get reviewed.

Getting run off the park? We must have watched a different game.

****ing B/****e Howe cursing Liverpool for not having more men sent off - no mention of Foulinton's 368 fouls (or the other 472 that the ref didn't even bother blowing for). Eventually, around the hour mark, Neville pipes up "They're a bit like Simeone's Atletico Madrid with the non-stop fouls - but I do mean that in a good way".

Szobbo my MOTM. I said months ago when we were being linked with Mount that he was a decent player, but vastly overpriced at £50m, never mind the £60m he went for. But no sour grapes - he simply isn't the box-to-box no 8 we needed. **** me, this guy is, and more. I'd never heard of him. Now he's a £100m midfielder.

McNutty says this:
Liverpool shifted the emphasis of the game with the introduction of substitutes Diogo Jota and Nunez, positive moves in a very negative situation, suddenly giving them a threat when before it had been merely about survival.
What else would he expect, that we would just hang on for a 0-1 result?
Of course we played containing football until close to the end, to keep the score down, but at that point we had to go for it, risk conceding further to try and get something from the game late on.
It was no surprise, it was the only workable strategy we could have used under the circumstances.
And it worked perfectly this time.

The entire Newcastle team and bench were demanding a second booking and red card for TAA. Why weren't they booke for it?

Because we’re in week 3. Those new rules only last a couple of game weeks before dying out.

Same reason Bruno wasn’t booked for asking for a yellow.

I said in preseason that once folk saw Szoboszlai they'd be very happy.

Really good player.

We need 4 or 5 more like that buy and less endos (sorry but you can see it plainly and that's 11 v 11)

Bajcetic will be playing every week once he gets a toe in the door

It does look like we need a few kids to grab a shirt unless something emerges just before deadline day.

So, Shearer says Trent's yellow was the right decision about 5 seconds after he says he should have had a free kick because Ratty shoved him in the back.
Hmmm...

No way you can judge Endo. He’s a stop gap player for a couple years no doubt but the guys been brought in late and been shoved into a brand new midfield and played less than 60 minutes with 10 other team mates.

Yep, what else were we supposed to do? We hung on until the last quarter of an hour, then, and only then, went for it. We could have gone two down several times and it would have been over - but if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle. Couldn't have asked more from today, even had Newcastle got another 2 in that last 15 minutes. We had a 20% shot and went for it - as you say, we could have walked away with a respectable 1-0 loss and bemoaned our luck. We didn't - we spun the wheel and put our bet down.

Buzzing.

Can't even be sure of that these days. :)
