Very much this. We're still absolutely a squad in transition, without knowing who is going to be here or not one day to the next. To have glued together a style and a winning start from that is highly impressive.
Matched our home points total from last season already! (not really, but it sounded believable didn’t it!)
Adam Armstrong has scored as many league goals this season as he has in his entire career with Saints. That one is actually real
Fantastic. Simply fantastic. The unbeaten run continues, and my love for Russel Martin grows. God I hate this club, such a rollercoaster of emotions.
Russell Martin - legend. Can’t believe the difference in the team. Fraser & Downes look levels above the championship. Both drip premier league quality. Adam A & Baz were absolutely brilliant. But make no mistake, QPR were absolutely dreadful. We still need a striker big time imo.
A positive is that minus KWP and possibly Alcaraz that is going to be the team and we still won. Plus we will have a couple more additions aswell you’d think. I thought we would start the season slowly whilst we lost players and signed their replacements, in theory we should only get better from here and we’ve won 3 out of 4 and should’ve won all 4
We're obviously going down and will end up playing the youth team. 2 more managers might get it sorted out, doubt it, we're doomed as always. Same old Saints. Actually I think I'll lay off the transfer threads, it's affecting my judgement and playing havoc with my sense of humour!! If folk can't get this set up as it is then take a very good look around. We're doing just fine!!
Just headed home. First ten we looked good then we realised how physical they were and let them bully us. Subs changed the game and Adarma was superb in CAM. My thoughts: 1. Fraser was superb. Brilliant acquisition. I was worried but we lost nothing for him coming on. SAA just couldn’t get into the game - mainly as we were too obsessed with playing down the left. 2. We are too obsessed with wing play and have no threat through the middle- until Armstrong drops back and a proper striker moves up there. 3. All our signings looked excellent. Downes was faultless. Fraser brilliant. But the biggest plus was Shea who was dominating midfield until he moved to dominate defence. 4. Bednarek needs a special mention. Thar brute of a striker was huge, fast and dirty and he and Shea bullied him second half. 5. Manning I am on the fence about. He is not a good left back. 6. Aribo makes me laugh. I swear he isn’t really a footballer.
