You could see they also targeted Greaves - particularly in the first half. Quick, tricky wingers fancy him one on one.

yea greaves is a top player, he can play left back, but hes not the fastest, and he gets exploited with that position
he should be our number 1 cb with jones imo

Have to say our best back 4 right now would probably be Coyle, Vinagre, Jones and Greaves - although we’ve obviously not seen enough of Vinagre yet.

coyle is a massively dedicated player who would do anything for the shirt
but hes massively limited as a player
christie was meant to be the upgrade but hes done as a player

It’s starting to look like we might have to bring some defensive cover in. Christie should have been our shoe-in right back but Rosenior must be doubting him by not giving him many minutes. It looked like someone from the crowd came on for the last 5.

Greaves is susceptible at LB and Vinagres injury niggles also give me cause for concern.

christie has been destroyed by the injury and surgery
like hes nowhere near championship material
its sad
but i cant see how he can even be apart of the plan
hes so far off it

so coyle is our main rb for this season

We were winning while in control. We lost control because we panicked and started going long and they scored at the start of the second half.

I believe the changes should have been made at half time (which I did say, I think). We should have gone for the kill after we scored. We may have gone long but that would have been down to being pressed due to passing it backwards and putting ourselves in danger.

Either way, we should have got the 3 points when you look at the start of that game. We failed tactically. It’s not the end of the world, just annoying.

I don’t think playing it about at the back cost us tonight - on quite a number of occasions we played through their press and looked really good. We then got it up to Twine and Traore who both wanted to drift inside.

The good news is when we get Philogene receiving the ball when we beat the press he will be at their defence and it will cause nightmares, if we added Rak-Sakyi or even Lokilo on the other side and put Twine central then it would be different gravy!

I hope you’re wrong but that 5 minute cameo was akin to a half-time competition winner coming on.

mate
unless hes playing injured

he cant recover
hes playing professional football and hes a yard off it

Course he can. We have no idea how his recovery has gone. My inclination is that he's coming on in cameo appearances for a reason. Rosenior said he only took Coyle off because he had a knock. He's a professional athlete of course he can recover fitness

I also don’t like to say it but sending Vaughan out for the season also might be a good shout.

he 100% should be down to league one
he's not anywhere near a regular championship player
miles off it

i thought the same when he came on v norwich
hes like a diff player

I didn’t see the Norwich game but I did wonder what was happening with him pre season as he just seemed off it. Liam just have seen something in training to even put him on the pitch.

i hope youre right
but ive never seen a difference between a player
hes a shadow of his old self

and i still stand by it
covill will have more of an impact than oscar

covill is a genius and far far far far better than jarvis

covil will make us a tidy profit

I just think with the recruitment we’ve made recently his time will become limited. Think he’s a great prospect but maybe a season or two to soon for him.
