Prince William should have gone. Not because he is a Royal but because of his position in the FA. I see the President of UEFA did not travel to see the final involving two teams inUEFA as it was a long way to travel but sent his female deputy instead. Not too far for her.
Of course he should have gone, the bald-headed little prick. Don't know why this has pissed me off so much but it has.
Enjoy the Euros...Lucky you and your Mrs... The 2026 WC is mostly in the US, which is great. Not too keen on going to Mexico, but i guess that will be for the host country games, then a couple of additional knock out games.. I reckon Canada will play two of their games in Toronto and one in Vancouver, plus a couple of the knock outs. Just depends on if England get there and the draw to see where they will play. The draw is usually done in the December, about 8 months before kick out. Hopefully England will be in the east..I'm planning to go for the three group games, then I'll follow them if they get through to the knock outs, assuming there's not a huge amount of travelling.
Spanish football federation president Luis Rubiales has apologised for kissing Jenni Hermoso on the lips after Spain won the Women's World Cup. Rubiales kissed the Spain forward during the presentation ceremony following the team's 1-0 win over England in Sunday's final. "I didn't like it," Hermoso said on Instagram, but a statement released later on her behalf defended Rubiales. On Monday, Rubiales said: "I was completely wrong, I have to admit it." In a statement released by the Spanish football federation, following the player's initial comment about disliking the kiss, Hermoso said the moment was a "natural gesture of affection". "It was a totally spontaneous mutual gesture because of the immense joy that winning a World Cup brings," said the 31-year-old, who is Spain's all-time leading scorer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66568226
World football's governing body has opened disciplinary proceedings against Spanish football federation president Luis Rubiales for his behaviour at Sunday's Women's World Cup final. Rubiales kissed forward Jenni Hermoso on the lips after Spain beat England. He earlier grabbed his crotch as he celebrated at the final whistle. Fifa will look at whether those actions constitute violations of article 13 in its disciplinary code, concerning offensive behaviour and fair play. "Fifa reiterates its unwavering commitment to respecting the integrity of all individuals and strongly condemns any behaviour to the contrary," it said in a statement. According to the disciplinary code, officials are among those that must "comply with the principles of fair play, loyalty and integrity". It says disciplinary measures can be brought against anyone "violating the basic rules of decent conduct", "insulting a natural or legal person in any way, especially by using offensive gestures, signs or language" or "behaving in a way that brings the sport of football and/or Fifa into disrepute". https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66606387
