Prepared to be wrong... but re Kienan Davis, he was one player who catapulted Forest from his signing in the January to promotion...
Reads like a well-timed interview with Acun to maybe get a few more memberships sold? Not complaining btw.
Or was it the funds were earmarked for the likes of Twine all along, we're just were closing them now the parent clubs will release them?
I think we've operated very shrewdly so far. £6m for a young winger and a striker feels like bloody good value for money and whilst I'm sure the loans will have fees, Lokilo also wouldn't have cost that much I wouldn't have thought. Wages might be an issue, but if you sell Oscar, Woods, Tetteh and Ally, whilst also releasing the wages of Pelkas, Longman (loan), Figs, Baxter, Elder, Darlow & Smith I can understand where we've found some wriggle room from too.
We no longer have a back of shirt or shorts sponsor after Efes and Tomya didn’t carry theirs on, same with training after Giacom. Can also now have a sleeve sponsor so plenty of opportunities for someone to magic up some funds in the way of sponsorship
I didn’t know effes had dropped their sponsorship. Very surprising considering the obvious turkey connection…**** em, another beer going on my black list. Shame I really enjoyed effes
Reading between the lines, it looks that way....Keinan Davis is an interesting one...Big unit, decent hold up, but didn't do a lot at Watford...Was he injured for a while? Or was he just confused by musical chairs style of management at the Vic?
Seems to be the hold up player and 7 in 34 isn’t too bad a return for that kind of player at all. If he’d bagged many more he’d be going on a big money move to a premier league side. Luton apparently wanted him earlier in the window but were given a £7m asking price according to reports. How much truth is in that, no idea. Edit: it was actually 7 in 34. 2 assist also.
It wouldn't be wide of the mark I suspect... a newly promoted club come calling with some money to spend... IF and it still is an IF at the moment , if we have bagged the pair for a combined £5/6 million someone take a bow..
Money talks But it don't sing and dance and it don't walk And long as I can have you here with me I'd much rather see Davis n Philogene
