Anyone who has ever worked a day in their life knows what happened there. There was likely one overbearing personality in the group of 3 who was doubling down on the mistake, the other 2 just went along as opposed to getting in an argument. I find it highly ridiculous to suggest all 3 officials actually agreed with that decision. Possible that the two just decided against arguing with the VAR.
Fixed for you. I mean there is no way it's not a penalty but if you look at Ederson taking out Fraser last season I guess at least they are consistent with their **** decisions...
Richard West was the cock of a lino that I warned you about v Villa he is garbage and just a yes man to save his own skin
NO defo not I remember when we played Bristol City in the Championship he was the lino on the Milburn side where Marlon Harewood was scythed down in the penalty box with West looking straight at the incident less than 10 yards away, no-one else in the box to interfere with with eyesight but he never raised his flag to indicate a pen someone I know spoke to him the following week and asked him why he didn't flag his reply was that he was told 'not to flag for anything other than offsides and throw ins' I don't bare grudges I bide my time
That is wild but completely believable - some refs have a massive power trip when it comes to reffing games - I had a ref for an U14's girls game, point blank refuse to have lino's and threatened to walk away when me and the other manager said we wanted them because "he didn't need them and they get in the way" - the ref got nearly every call wrong, missed numerous offsides or gave them because the teams appealed when it was clearly onside, even gave a freekick for team A but said team B's freekick (by using the colour of the tops (Blue v Red) so no debating he got it wrong) and the girls lost the plot and kicked off (both teams) when he reversed his decision and then when me and the other coach both said he'd made the mistake, after he called us over to calm the teams down, he completely refused to accept that he had got it wrong and blamed us as managers for the girls being "out of control". Ref's want more respect (and I'm not condoning screaming/assaulting them) but respect is earned and when you have errors like that over the weekend they lose all credibility. Their apologies mean **** all when Wolves could get relegated by a point this year and then people lose jobs over these decisions at the top end of the game...even worse when you have the benefit of hindsight and a slow motion replay.
I don't think the proper fans of other clubs really hate us like, when you get talking to them they say they like the city and the people are friendly etc. It's just the media and managers like klopp who are ****s, and then people who can't make their own mind up just believe whatever they say.
Cracking game between Australia and England women. Really enjoyable watch and a couple of goals which would have graced a Men’s game. Final here we come.
Buzzing for the Lionesses, just need to finish the job now but Spain are no easy team. Think the girls experience of winning the Euros will see them through but looking forwards to Sunday's game.
Amazing how Klopps press chums giggle along like little lap dogs (imho). They are clearly not looking to the future there.....
I do think Klopp will do one soon. Can see him at PSG. I hope he ends up in the KSA though.... that would be glorious
It'll be interesting to see what LFC do if they are sitting in 6/7th at xmas with a few points gap to the CL places? Klopp has done wonders for that team - and despite him being one of the biggest cnuts going, he is a very good football coach - but for the 5/6 years of good work, how long does that buy you in modern football? Bit of a mess for them last year and if CL is out of grasp this year would he survive the chop or would he walk before he was pushed??
