Yup, I certainly don't disagree with you there mate or the astonomer, I was trying to think where we were on scale when I saw that. It's one of those things where I'm intrigued to know what it's all about, but know I will never know (unless I bring in a religious element) and that's quite a hard concept for a human (not knowing the answers). I've always used an ant to describe scale or a grain of sand on a beach representing Earth. I would love it to be countless other universes.

The first moon landing was in the memory of my lifetime, I was always fascinated by it as a kid as a result. I even remember the tea in them days having free cards in them to collect (brooke bond I think), that covered everything from apollo to sputnik. I even remember be taught about it at school, it was the only thing I was ever interested in, even remember do artwork on it.
However, I've also been to space centre in Florida several times over the decades, and can still remember my disappointment on seeing the craft and moon buggy, I was like, fook off no way did this shhite get in space. I have even seen the crawler transporter for the shuttle in action, the most boring thing ever, watching it's journey at the speed of a tortoise, actually probably slower than a tortoise!
So I sort of went from a believer to you got to be kidding me, all I can say is our start was very premitive, and I feel it is still real today, but did the Americans really get there first, yes but I keep an open mind on it - meaning if someone proved differently, it wouldn't surprise me, but no one has proved differently to me after all these decades.
Anyway talking of moon landings, India are due to land near the South pole of the moon on August 23rd, I think they've gone in a rickhsaw the length of time it has taken them, but they have done it at a budget price. The Japanese did attempt the same landing in April but that ended in disaster. However, the Russians are now in race to beat India to the landing and could achieve it just a couple of days beforehand, ie 21st or 22nd. I'm sure Putin will be gloating, and can't blame him if Russia achieve that goal, something the Americans have never achieved, so there is something of a mini spacerace on.
