After the mixed reception some of your fans gave him when he joined the club, are you all happy now that he was a good buy??, i was sorry to see him go but understand his reasons, he always gives a 100% and wont stop battling,

I can't see how they wouldn't be pleased.

5 million (worth more to WHU because of bonus savings) was a good deal for them, even if he probably won't have a re-sale value.

His job has probably just got easier being in a team with better players, he stood out for us in the last 2 seasons because most around him were carp. It made him what he is today, but he no longer has to worry about cleaning up so many mistakes from others.

What does make me <laugh> are the stupid and bitter comments that he's become a "better" player since joining Spurs all of NINE games ago. If in comparison to his WHU "August form" then yes, because he was going through the motions while stamping his feet to get the move he wanted.

Oh and Fabio Capello managed to land himself in that "stupid" group as well <doh>

To which Mr Fabio replied, "he's improved since moving to Tottenham".

Playing with far better players makes you play better normally. Ala Messi with Argentina and Messi with Barcelona. So in this case, he is playing better.

We're all delighted. I've always thought he'd be good for us and he thoroughly deserved his POTY award last season. He has been better than I thought though whilst I thought Diarra would've been a better option when it looked like a deal for him was on the cards, I couldn't be more pleased that we've got Scotty :)

Yep, I have to agree. I was one of the dubious fans, but he's proved his worth, already. He looks pretty fit, so hopefully, he'll be good for another few years yet.
P.S. Two England games - Two MOM awards to Spurs players. I wonder when the last time that happened, was?

I was one of those that was happy with the touted move, especially at the thought of having Modric, Sandro, Huddlestone and Parker as our central midfield squad.
I didn't even realise just how good Livermore and Carroll were going to be in this early part of the season, either.
Makes up for the absence of Sandro and Huddlestone through injury.

We've got a hell of a lot of options in midfield, once everyone's back and firing.

The bit I liked best was Capello saying Parker has improved since he moved to a 'really important club like Tottenham'. Spot on Fabio <laugh>

I always wanted us to get Parker and was delighted when we managed to do so, a great buy and a definite asset to us and England.

There's been a load of accidental insults to West Ham since Parker's move.
    Shame, eh?

Arguably third season in a row for Spurs, after Kranjcar and Van der Vaart. We seem to have become quite good at picking up great players for not very much... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJBsI7RAuvk

Great to see him doing well for both club and country, Capello's biggest mistake was not taking him to the world cup, and i now think he realises that ! good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully we will see you next year if we dont mess it all up LOL

    Been a top signing.

I always wanted him but I did understand Levy's view in regards to their being no sell-on fee. But the form he's in at the moment has helped us improve greatly and hopefully in the long run, the £5.5m will have been paid for easily in regards to league finish and merchandise sales etc.

Without a doubt the signing of the summer so far for me.

I wouldn't say that I was particularly against his signing. Always thought he would be an improvement on Huddlestone / Palacios / Jenas. As two of those three left I was glad to see him arrive but i didn't really expect him to have the impact he has had so far.
