Willock out until September... he'll be a big miss he was absolutely brilliant last season... so underrated.
Personally I think Willock offers something different I'm not saying we don't have other good midfielders but willock for me was arguably our best cm least season... that pass vs tottenham for example was a demonstration of how good he is.
I'll wait to see how Tonali adapts. If he settles and plays as well as he did for AC Milan, then yes - I probably agree. Great to have so many good players. Had forgotten what that felt like over the Ashley years.
I'll put it out there now, I might not be posting much for the next few weeks, bar prediction leagues and maybe the odd comment here and there. I am already anticipating one of two main scenarios: 1. We start off poorly due our tough start and the doom an doom & gloom merchants will be predicting the end of the world and alien invasions, while blaming individual players and calling them ****e and that they "need replacing", or blaming Howe and wanting a manager with silverware credentials, or blaming the owners for not splashing more cash and 'going for it' after finishing top 4. OR, 2. We start off well and the "We're going to win the League" squad will be out in full bloom, backed up by the "We'll win the treble" squad, the "Billions and Billions next Gallacticos" squad and maybe even a newly formed "Howe is a God" squad. With recent health issues, genuinely I don't want to get drawn into either of those discussions. I just want to chill and enjoy the ride of seeing our club in a whole new era. No extremes of it's all **** vs we are the biggest/best. Just generally going in the right direction. There will be ups and downs. It won't be all amazing, it won't be all terrible. But I think it will be way better than the 14 or so years under Ashley. So I'm just going to enjoy it all, but without setting crazy high expectations/hopes and equally without thinking the club hasn't done enough.
