So that means I didn't see him play for Burnley? Not quite sure what you're getting at. He played basically six games and was good in that time, on top of an outstanding season in League One for MK Dons.
Goes beyond that though doesn't it. It gets personal with people proactively looking for stuff. Got laughed at recently for saying he'd been working on these names since may. Now. It transpires Burnley have released Twine who was first rumoured to be incoming in may.
Do you know who it is (appreciate it if you do but can't say) or do you just know it isn't the Palace winger?
You're absolutely right, no one has posted "I hate Liam Rosenior" so no one is looking for reasons to dislike/hate him, criticise him, or undermine him as manager. Very astute of you.
It’s got a bit weird in some cases and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near it. Although, I do think some of it is exacerbated by personal battles on the forum. However, that said, there is also some fair criticism of the transfer policy, tactics and poor performances – as should be on a forum. We’ll see what happens. Even if Rosenior does turn it around, the dislike/negativity towards him will always be there after the next bad result.
Very weird. It's like he's in the same boat as McCann - who we suffered an 8-0 loss to Wigan and one of the worst ends to a season of any team ever - where any positive results are immediately undermined by a bad one because.. he talks positively in the media? Has us not leaking many goals or losing many matches (aka playing boring football)?
4 goal contributions (3G, 1A) in 555 minutes for them. Missed the first half of the season with n injury.
Twine is obviously a good player and an exciting signing but… this has a massive whiff of last summer about it. We are saturated in his position and it seems pretty pointless and a waste of money to further strengthen what is already our strongest position. It’s all well and good saying he can play here and he can play there but we’ve seen how having loads of players not playing their natural role leads to disjointed performances. What we really need I firmly believe are specialised players to round this team off and give it some proper balance. Wingers that play wide and stretch the opposition, not player that can play on the wing but are naturally inclined to play more centrally and a thumping bone breaker in midfield.
I think the football being boring one is the least weird criticism, but I take your point. Nit picking every element to to boost a narrative is not the sign of a sound view, and neither is ignoring all the good of which there is plenty.
Fair criticism has and should happen but nobody had said they hate him, so why post that? Just say some look for any reason to criticise him.... But I suppose that wouldn't fit with your belligerent style would it
Twine has played a good number of games in his career all over the forward line. Probably as many either wide right or left as in his central role. He isn't merely a 10 and that's it.
What an oddly defensive response. People are looking for reasons to dislike him, if you think that using the word dislike instead of hate changes the nature of my post at all then good for you. You're the one that picked an argument over a wording choice. I've seen plenty of posters on here criticise him and the manner in which he speaks and acts that goes beyond just "I disagree with his tactical decisions". If you think that's 'fair criticism' then go for it.
