That’s why those who can do….. and those that can’t teach <laugh>

It's of note that that quote was an ironic statement by George Bernard Shaw about the unavailability of education to the masses back in 1905ish and is derived from the quote of Aristotle of "those who can do, those who understand teach". I always find it ironic when people who have had the opportunity of the education Shaw was asking for still then lack the understanding Aristotle was proclaiming the majority of the workforce will never have.

Just seen a story from Germany saying we’re in negotiations for Wirtz. Taking it with a pinch of salt but he’s been mentioned over a few windows since PIF came onboard

Would be an amazing signing but I don't see us strengthening in that part of the pitch. CB is surely next through the door. Happy with the window though, 2 upgrades to the first 11 and we usually try to grab one in January too. Our team is making big strides.

He got 7 the season before despite missing the last few months of the season. He then was coming back from injury last season and was being played in a few different roles, he's not a striker and you've cherry picked a single stat to make him look bad. That's not like you, oh hang on...

Newcastle won't be interested in a player with max like end product

Dear season ticket holders,

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to St. James’ Park for the opening game of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Digital ticketing – key information
As you know, digital ticketing has been introduced and from the first weekend of operation for the Sela Cup we are able to share some insight from common queries that we hope will offer additional insight before you arrive at the stadium on Saturday.

Please note:

  • Screenshots of your season ticket will not work. You must download your season pass to the Apple or Android wallet on your device.
  • Android users must download their Google Wallet to store their season ticket/match ticket. Tickets displayed in a browser will not work.
  • Season passes must be downloaded before you arrive at the stadium. You will not need Wifi or signal for it to scan successfully once at the stadium. The active technology is already in your handset.
  • Make sure you arrive at the stadium at least 15 minutes earlier than you usually would to avoid congestion.
  • You only need to download your season pass once for the full season – please do not delete it!

Full guides and FAQ’s on digital ticketing can be found here

Re-sale and forwarding – now live for Aston Villa

If a season ticket holder cannot attend a game, they can put their seat up for re-sale or forward to family member or friend to use. Friends and family are not required to be members during this process, but they must have registered for an online ticket account and it must be linked to yours.

Once a ticket is sold or forwarded to a family member or friend it cannot be returned to the season ticket holder.

Was just about to post this. Big news. They've got new players but it's the ones from last season who they need for the first few weeks and he'll be a big miss. Not just the game against us, they are likely to be around us this season so a few points here and there could easily be a league place for us.

Not that I'd wish injury on anyone but that is good news. He's an absolute pest.
