Apparently there is a new documentary film out “Have You Got It Yet? (The Story of Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd)”

Co-director, Storm Thorgerson, an acclaimed album designer and a friend of Barrett’s, died in 2013 — but it’s as comprehensive and coherent an account of Barrett’s counterculture tragedy as one could hope for. And while the film, co-directed by Roddy Bogawa, illuminates Barrett to a greater degree than any other account I’ve come across, it maintains the artist’s enigma.”

For all the music gurus on here I need a big favour/ Challenge! I gave resident tickets this year for Leeds fest, however apart from the main headliners and Frank Turner I haven't heard of any. The only music I don't like is heavy/Thrash metal. My favour/challenge is can you please list 10 bands you would recommend for me to watch

FRIDAY

Bilk - Jnr supported them earlier this year, Essex wide boys
Yard Act - they'll have a good crowd, local, very good, seen a couple of times
Wet Leg - Girls from Isle of Wight, good live
Bicep should be good
Foals is your must see, always put on a great show

SATURDAY

Looks a bit dross, but out of that lot...

Inhaler - Irish rock
Easy Life
Arlo Parks
Nothing But Thieves - want to be like Muse, but not quite got it. Not bad live.

SUNDAY

The Snuts - Scottish indie band
Dylan John Thomas - popular up here, not sure how popular down south, mates with Gerry Cinammon
The Amazons
Imagine Dragons

Not the most inspiring of line-ups for a weekend! Enjoy

I think Steels nailed it tbh. I would have headed for Foals out of all of them. Fridays Main Stage East possibly the best as a bunch but not a line-up to get too excited about (for me anyway).

Couple of years ago, but they blew Glastonbury away with this "secret" set they did on the Park Stage

Lost count of the times I've seen them, been watchibg them since their very early stuff....Yannis may only be about 5ft 2in but he's enormous on stage.

@Yorkshire-Rs be prepared for him to be right in the crowd, last time we saw him he must've had a guitar lead about 100m long he was nearly at the back!

Cheers Steels, Seen Foals before and were awesome. The last time I got Resident tickets I spent most of My time watching the BBC Introducing stage. Anyone from further down the lists take your fancy?

Got to be honest, there's not many names on there even I recognise...Introducing stage is always a good bet, seen some amazing acts in their infancy on those stages over the years, bands that have gone on to headline a few years later.

Would really recommend Yard Act on the Friday, I'm a big fan. They've a new album out soon, and have just released this banger....
