It's not a fair point when that comment is an opinion sandwiched between two statements based on conjecture.

We don't know explicitly why we U-turned on Connolly. Far more likely Tetteh going enabled the move if what the club says is true - unless we're just looking for stuff to get wound up about, aside from the woeful football?

Tetteh wanting to leave was that abrupt he just decided one day he wanted to go and live in France and everything happened within a week? Can’t see it personally, I’m sure it all will have been ongoing a while and the club will long have known his desire to leave.

Tetteh is also still here currently and his transfer could well fall through.

Given the one year deal, I would read between the lines and take from that that the whole thing was going to be too expensive. Sacrifices have then been made both sides to help it go through. That’s just my take on it obviously but it seems logical to me.

We originally signed Connolly in January last year when Tetteh seemingly had no intention of leaving so don’t see what difference him leaving now would make. If we want him, we want him.

We also already have proof Rosenior just makes up total **** in his interviews so whatever he says needs to be taken with a pinch of salt regardless, although I cannot remember him explicitly saying that anyway.

'If' his boss was responsible for him taking all the unnecessary flak, why wouldn't he? Barmby did,Bruce did and make no mistake about it,if I was taking a pile of **** through someone's incompetence, boss or no boss...I'd do it in the blink of a ****ing eyelid!!!

At the time most were raving with excitement over them, the next messi and ronaldo, top players in strong leagues, and should by any minor chance they don't fit in we bought cheap and will be able to sell at a profit.

It's not that we can't have Tetteh and Connolly together specifically. It's just that four strikers is too many. With Delap now here as well, we haven't got room for both of them. Tetteh leaving isn't an overnight thing, but clearly a deal was agreed at some point and Rosenior has confirmed that when that happened it allowed us to sign Connolly. I think we've seen the same scenario play out the opposite way with Fleming/Cox. If someone had come in for Fleming we'd have signed Cox, but we're not in the business of stocking up and then having to get rid of excess players later.

But we are... his interview last night hinted at accelerating transfers... mentions of two more wingers a keeper and more... no one is beating down the door to sign the surplus.... and that is why there is no merry go round...

I’ve a feeling we could rue the loss of Tetteh although obviously fully understand his departure. He really looked class at this level and could well have exploded this season.

Absolutely agree on that. That has to be job one get a keeper that suits Rosenoirs preferred way of playing. After the Donny game I would have expected City’s hierarchy to be on the phone day and night trying to close a deal for a keeper that can play out from the back. Got to be someone out there? I am surprised someone on the forum has not created a list of suitable keepers.

Err we had three of those strikers injured at the same time for how many games last season?? So why wouldn’t we need four strikers

Bring in a new keeper all you want, but he'll still only have the same statues to pass to

Think Ingram. Is copping some unfair flack. His midfield stitched him up with no movement last night. Couple times Lokilo made a run in behind but that was about it.

Ingram just isn't well liked on here for some reason. But I've said it a few times now .... He isn't the issue

We could’ve had Pirlo in goal and he still wouldn’t have been able to pass it to anyone

Totally agree, last night was abject!

That said don't understand why Rosey didn't get his message across at half time so we could sort it, or at least mix it up tactics wise from minute 46 onwards?

He's a more than capable keeper, and for what its worth the best one we've got at the moment

He isn’t the best with his feet, the other 10 don’t make it easy for him aswell.
The crowd get wrestless when he has the ball, I think it’s more that
    A) we’ve worked the ball back to him
    B) he hasn’t got any options to pass to
Both factors result in the frustration of Rosie ball

He was definitely the issue last night. As a goalkeeper, he's a very good Championship keeper but with his feet he'll never be able to play out from the back.

Last night, he had to take control, they were containing so high up the pitch that when he occasionally went long we were winning 2nd balls in really good areas and had plenty of space to have a go at them and looked dangerous. He has to have the intelligence and know how to take control and change the situation and go long for a 10 to 15-minute spell. We actually started the game well, looked good and then Ingram decided to take the sting out the game

It terrified me that the opposition did something novel, and we had no clue how to deal with it.

Yesterday was absolutely not Ingram’s fault.
