We had to hold on for dear life for that one, they did even equalise but it was offside and the assistant did signal straight away, then in the dying seconds they put it in the side netting, we had to change from three to five at the back to hang on.

So thoughts on today, the refs are going to start chucking yellow cards about like confetti, even the bench got two on my lot. Added time, 4 mins first half, 8 mins the second half, then another min or two on top of that, so you could be looking at an extra quarter of an hour each game.

The win has certainly taken me by surprise, no way did I expect to beat them, just hoped to sneak a draw. It was a great win as you say and one where we had to hold on for an additional 8 minutes at the end, teams really will need to factor this extra time in to the tactics now and with the multi ball system be careful not to get dragged into playing it too quick, which is what one of our players did until he got yelled at 'hold on to that fooking ball!'

I plan on having a few bets tomorrow on booking points as there's gonna be loads more than usual in next couple of weeks.

and the law of averages will increase those bookings with all this additional time. We had 5 players book and 2 on the bench including the manager for arguing decisions, so i'm guessing the officials are going with zero tolerance.

Be interesting to see if they keep it up. Often with these changes they do it for a month for show and then revert to normal.

Take more than a new manager to make them a team you have to worry about

My main concern is they were so bad we should/could have hit double figures but beat them four nil

Cardiff to do us by four or more on Saturday is 25/1 currently. We won’t lose every game but we will lose many heavily and this squad doesn’t have the bollocks to use yesterday as a catalyst for putting the graft in. I’d highly recommend a fiver on it.
