I’m less concerned about the keeper. Ingram and the centre-halves kept it a respectable score line today. It’s the fact we don’t have a defensive midfielder that’s the biggest issue.
dont see why Simons cant be that defensive midfielder?

Don’t you wish you’d held back on your mantra a little before today? You may have had most of us agreeing with you:emoticon-0105-wink:

‘They have parachute payments so of course they were going to have 28 shots and dominate us from start to finish! I don’t know why people are annoyed with the performance!’

Have a word with yourself.

First half they dominated but when we do and aren't 3 up by half time we're **** and don't deserve anything. Surely that works both ways?

Second half we were more competitive and should have had a second.

Well last season we started out with a big win at Preston, and we all know how it turned out in the games after that. So hopefully this is a wake up call for the management team and players. It may well be that the last minute goal will be a blessing in disguise and put some impetous not only into our transfer dealings but others aspects of our game (clutching at straws here). Missed a large part of the second half but in the first we were played off the park and could have been 3 or 4 down. Seri and Slater were innocuous in particular Seri was not his usual passing machine self. Like another poster saw promise in Simons when he came on. Suspect we will be seeing more of him. Makes you wonder what we are going to do with Bird when we have Simons. Connoly did not do much but he showed at least once that he has not lost the ability to glue the ball to his boot laces. Delap look strong and difficult to push of the ball and took his goal well.
All in all though a bit of a let down after all the excitement at the start of the season.
Sorry, you are mixing up the seasons. Last season we started with Bristol City and were then really lucky to come away with a point at Deepdale. The big win was the season before.

I don’t know why people are saying we were robbed. Norwich should’ve had a penalty for Coyle’s handballs. They dominated us in midfield and had chance after chance so it was only a matter of time before they got the second.

The uncomfortable truth is that Norwich aren’t even the best in the league so if we can’t even compete with them on the pitch for 90 minutes, we haven’t got a ****ing prayer against better teams. Connolly looks more overweight than Tufan did last summer. And now our manager will be serving a touchline ban because he couldn’t keep his cool.

So it wasn’t offside. Nothing to do with it hitting a City player, he just wasn’t offside when the ball came in.

No more so than your good self writing the manger, players and season off over a 2-1 away reversal against a club with 3x our budget on the opening day.

The result doesn’t bother me as much as the performance; the type of performance I’ve criticised long before we kicked a ball this afternoon. I would’ve liked to be proven wrong but it turns out I was spot on.

As I'm sure you'll be reminding us of when we finish what was it, 16th?

Aye and he’ll get more and more ridiculous the more pissed he gets

I can’t think of a chance we had? Can you?

I can think of Delap’s in the first half and Delap’s in the second. Compared to the amount of chances Norwich had though, the idea that we matched them in the second half is ****ing pathetic even by his standards.
