They initially only asked for 2,000 tickets. Obviously couldn’t sell out the bottom section so Leeds made it available to home fans.
The Bluebirds put close on 2,000 away tickets for the game on sale on Monday. By Tuesday morning they had announced the 'sold out' signs, thanking fans for their 'amazing support' and saying anyone else wishing to go to Elland Road should contact the ticket office to join a reserve list.

some of us are occasionally optimistic, but we’re never actually happy about it.
Optimism to Leeds fans serves only to make the subsequent, inevitable disappointment, even more miserable .
Yes but only asked for 2,000 so instead of having the bottom section a quarter full home fans will take that.
No surprise really because last time Cardiff came to Elland Road for a league game they brought about 200 fans.

Oh i am one of the friendly ones. The Leeds sections by the away end are a bit lively though.
You failed as in cardiff city failed to sell the full away section. Please on Sunday try to refrain from singing in Welsh it just sounds awful.
Apart from our National Anthem I agree with you on your last point.
By the way, I, as in me personally, didn't fail. I quoted the information provided by the club. I don't have an inside line on what goes on there. I only see what is published.
