To be fair, he’s got a point. I thought you’d be all for over 50’s getting off their arses and working for a living (if they needed the money), rather than claim of the state and robbing you youngsters of “your future”.

The likes of Deliveroo exploit their workers with **** rights and ****, unstable pay for a dangerous job. If they sorted that out then I’d be all for Bethel topping up her meagre pension with a few kebab deliveries but it won’t make a dent on the bloke who has seen his mortgage double due to the utter incompetence and corruption of this government.

Also I don’t like cycling. Just find it a bit weird.

Fair point, and that’s why we need to address declining union membership and the apathy of you youngsters in organising yourselves in the workplace. I’ve lost count of the number of times that I’ve had to try and convince youngsters at our place to join a Union and had the answer back that it’s “expensive” (when it really isn’t).

I agree. Wouldn’t benefit me but absolutely. The current Miss Bwood works in hospitality and it’s a horrendous industry in various ways including exploiting young kids on poor money. They tried creating some sort of union but the few places that bought into it went bust.

And that makes my point…..as you rightly say, the exploitation of workers in low paid jobs is appalling and shouldn’t be allowed to happen, though of course under a Tory government it’s been encouraged under the name of “entrepreneurism”. The only way to combat this is to further Unionise the workplace, which of course leads to accusations from the right-wing press of “fat cat union bosses” living it up on their members subs.
I’m still to be convinced that Labour under Starmer would be any different…..however I can’t see them being any worse

Got no problem with the Greenpeace action. Better than the middle class zealot ****s from JSO, who seem intent on alienating all and sundry against their cause.

MP for West Ham too. He’d probably cry at the price of a studio flat there now.

Brexit checks on fresh farm produce coming to the UK from the EU are to be delayed for the fifth time because the extra 'red tape' would increase the cost of food imports to consumers and fuel further inflation. So EU exporters are able to continue to avoid the 'red tape' but UK exporters cannot. There's a thing.
