Don’t see why we’d be moving for Piroe now unless one or more of strikers are close to a move, or he is one of the players patently waiting and we can’t wait for him any longer. Or I guess, our other targets have fallen through. If it wasn’t reliant on one of those things presumably we’d have made the move earlier in the window.

I wouldn't be surprised if Piroe is one who moves very late in the window. Not only do we need to offload players first, but so do Leicester. They still have all three of their strikers - all of whom I presume on wages which are too high for the Championship, and none of whom I presume would want to be sitting on the bench in the Championship. I don't see them moving forward with all three of them, let alone all three of them plus Piroe.

Leeds meanwhile have almost the opposite problem, in that they've got rid of so many players that they now have various holes to fill - and presumably not with a great deal of money to do it with, given that they've recouped very little from their outgoings. So they potentially might want to priortise a few other positions. They might feel that Bamford, Gelhart, and Rutter - alongside their attacking wingers - is sufficient, unless they can cash-in on the likes of Adams, Gnonto and/or Sinisterra.

I also don't see a PL club coming in for Piroe, unless someone gets desperate towards the end of the window. (Everton, I'm looking at you.)

Isn’t Vardy’s contract insane? And I wouldn’t be surprised if there is no relegation clause

Makes sense given he’s not likely to be totally ready until first week of October now. We can let him know we’re still interested and revisit it in January. If he doesn’t sign anything, he’s six months from being a free agent and Sunderland could be having a nothingness of a season and sell him to us at a reduced rate.

All eyes on Piroe now then…
