You can't call Techno Trev 'backwards'.Hmmm, Trev is a very backwards sort of fellow. Trev backwards is Vert. Vert is the French for green. Green is the colour of envy.

I like the look of this Tobido character because he appears to have the pace Newcastle lack in defence.
It's crazy quiet. So we're onto the "in chat" now, which sadly means there's naff all going on transfer wise.
It's crazy quiet.
In just a few weeks we've gone from being linked to Szoboszlai, Maddison, Diaby, Chiesa, Vlahovic & Barela, all at the same time, to literally nothing at all.

We've literally signed 3 players and one of them is a kid who's going on loan to Feyenoord.
And looking at Skybet we're not favourite to sign anyone right now.
I guess the positive is they're doing a reasonable job of shifting the drops with Wood and Darlow gone and Clark, Matty etc finishing.

P0llllp
This has happened every window and in the end years reality is far less extravagant. I suspect it'll be rather underwhelming defensive signings now.
I don't care tbh it's just the beginning and we'll have to wait a few years before it cranks up although I won't lie I thought champions league qualification would see them bring in a few exciting players.
Newcastle/howe do not like anything even remotely exciting.
P0llllp to you too.
Not every window tbf, the Jan 22 window was mental. I'm happy with the signings this far, but a striker and left back are clearly needed.
Still need a few more off the wage bill.
Fraser, Hendrick, Hayden, just for starters.
Newcastle have been linked with big names every window including the 1st and ended up signing Burn and target.
Ultimately they cannot attract nor can they afford the big names.
Targett was a a good signing at the time, and Burn immediately slotted in and strengthened the team...he was a huge improvement on Clark ffs.
Then remember we also got 2 big names in Trippier and Bruno, and signed Wood which basically guaranteed our safety.
I'm been happy with the windows so far, it's gradual growth, was the same with City for a few years after the money came in, they didn't sign Aguero, De Bruyne etc straight away.
The list of names was another level
Totally wasn't.
When the money came in their first signings were Jo, Craig Bellamy, Tal Being Haim, Wayne Bridge, Shay Given etc
Based off what I saw against Brighton, I'm more than happy with Asby.We don't really need a new RB, just don't loan out Ashby if he's the 2nd choice.
Vret Onhcet - no but you can type itYou can't call Techno Trev 'backwards'.
