Well we have Barnes, Isak, Gordon, Anderson and Joelinton/Willock who all play better in his position under EH. It’s just very odd as to how quiet it’s gone one way or the other so I have this feeling the transfer needs signing off by the PL
Yeah, I bet it's being scrutinised due to Liverpool and Man U owners crying about everything we do. Thing is, I can't see how they can possibly oppose it based on 'fair market value' given all the other transfer fees these days. And Saudi Pro League already set the precedent of buying 'current' players, not just those approaching the end of their careers.
Given Saudi clubs aren't constrained by FFP (FIFA not UEFA) I wonder how long it'll bee before one of rhe European clubs sues for restriction of trade, or similar, and FFP disappears
Something will definitely happen if FIFA don't apply some global restrictions. No way will the powerhouses of Europe allow themselves to be sidelined by Saudi Pro League.
The Saudis are saying get rid of FFP or we will take everything anyway. Fair play enough in my opinion. This went on with the golf then they took over the pga basically.
