Wedmore (yes, Steelmonkey, a farming community) about 5 miles from each of Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Wells. But I grew up in Isleworth and later moved to Bracknell, then Ascot and (soon) back to Sunninghill.
Was down that way last week visiting family...my parents were originally from that area (Somerset/Wiltshire border) and moved back down when they retired...now in Trowbridge, but took my mum down to Street through Glastonbury for a day out
Our player selection with a DOF was nothing short of a calamity,so having no DOF we shouldn't notice much.
Nice… I’ll be in Compton Martin in couple of weeks time.. an area of outstanding natural beauty… thinks it’s close to cheddar and wells but on the Bristol side.
Twitter have us after a loan for Chelsea kid forward Harvey Vale. Made no impact at Hull in his last loan.. Kelman seems a better bet to me...but he did sky the winner on Saturday
I must have missed it but what's the story with Tim Iroegbunam? I thought tweets indicated he was coming back on loan to us.
No... When Tim 5vowels started training again after his op....Jimmy Dunne tweeted " welcome back". Meaning welcome back into the world of playing football..I would think. It was reinterpreted as welcome back to QPR.... That is all..nothing more than that.
Stoke City[edit] On 7 August 2020 it was announced that Fox joined Stoke City, on a free transfer following his departure from Sheffield Wednesday.[23][24] Fox made his Stoke debut on the opening day of the 2020–21 season in a 0–0 draw away at Millwall.[25] He was a regular in Michael O'Neill's side until he picked up a hamstring injury in December 2020 which ruled him out until February 2021.[26] On his return to the team Fox managed three more games before he aggravated his injury against Sheffield Wednesday which kept him out for the remainder of the season.[27] Fox struggled with injures and form in 2021–22 and was restricted to 13 appearances.[28] Fox was a regular in the team in 2022–23, playing 43 times as Stoke finished in 16th position.[29] His contract was not renewed and he was released at the end of the season
Are we seriously saying that could be it ? If we don't get in a goalscorer we are totally ended. Dykes will get injured again at some stage and he's hardly prolific. Kelman is utter minge, and Armstrong still needs time to improve infront of goal. Would be beyond shocking if we don't at least get someone in on loan
I’m not saying we don’t need another striker in but it’s unfair to label Kelman “utter minge”. Like Armstrong he needs time to prove himself. Maybe you’ve seen him week in out - I haven’t for sure. He’s a 21 year old ffs.
I would much rather we persevere with our own youth, Armstrong and Kelman over a young Chelsea loanee.
