If he played for any other prem team would you be happy if Newcastle signed him for £25m?
2 years ago I would have been delighted with it to be fair. On his day he’s unplayable and he’s proved that. Problem is he’s either never fit enough for long enough or those days are too few and far between. The lad can get fans off their seats like nobody else. His dribbling ability is up there with the very best, his decision making however is down there with the very worst.

As has been mentioned, in times gone by, yes, but his style of play isn’t as effective for us anymore, and we need to sell players to raise our ceiling.

Are you genuinely interested or trying to make a point about the fee?

Fans (and that’s all fans not nufc fans) always overprice their own players because they want as much as possible. I always think would I be happy spending X amount on that player if we were buying him, if answer is no, then you can’t expect to get that as a selling team.

ASM is just like traore I think. At a lower prem team who want to sit back and hit on the counter he’s useful to get you up the pitch. But he’ll be injured for 1/2 the season and games he does play will frustrate because he’ll look a world beater until he gets near the box and suddenly look like a league 2 player.

Whilst I agree with this completely there seems to be some misconception with a lot of other teams fans and pundits still believing he's an unbelievable player based on a couple of step overs and tricks which I think could allow us to get more than he's worth.

Nah. Other clubs have scouts and don’t listen to the fans

So on that basis, would you be happy if Liverpool currently paid £40m for a 29 year old Fabinho?
