Batting a bit more circumspect than expected 52 added in 10 overs..... maybe the weather is OK for today so look to bat big until lunch then have 2 sessions at them this afternoon..... Very negative tactics from aussies......
Good bowling from the Aussies this morning. Looks like we've decided to bat into the afternoon session, possibly aiming to only have to bat once.
506/8 at lunch lead 189...... 122 added this morning.... Suspect they wanted a lead of 200 but close enough..... maybe bat on for an over or 2 after lunch as that would only give their openers 10 minutes to be ready whereas if they declared now they'd have 40 minutes to ready themselves..... might be a good ploy....
Don’t know about good bowling, such was a negative field by the Aussies making scoring boundaries hard
They were hellishly slow like most teams, including England, but I thought they also bowled much better than yesterday. They were always going to come back at us a bit imo.
This is grinding the aussies into the dirt..... something they've done to us so many times... Bat once, bat big..... 550 in 103 overs.... a little over 3 sessions.... Just hope they don't get the timing of the rain wrong....
