Good news if it comes off.
BUT... £30m seems a lot for a cover player / 'one for the future', given our financial constraints. Bearing in mind he's only played 30 senior games - and only 2 of those were in the whole of last season, due to injury. It's quite a gamble.
I get that he's highly rated as a very promising young player, but is it the right move for us right now, when we have more immediate need to enhance CB & LB?
Unless he's also covering/competing for CB and/or LB.
Looking very likely, unless the Saudis can persuade him over there.
Villa are building a strong squad.
I think that's got more to do with Howe not fancying him than FFP somehow.
