You cant host a fixture, for reasons such as this, points deduction.
Burnleys return to the Premier League has been slightly dampened because of this. When it has a knock on effect on other teams i think they should be punished. Coventry should have been hit hard last season.
Have I missed something what's the problem at Burnley?

Burnley refused to flip and play at their place first. No idea the logic in declining that request.

No idea, but if its to their advantage they have every right to. Bit of a bummer for their fans though. Maybe they feel that theres a possibility that this wont be Lutons only postponement, and if others also refuse to switch then Luton, a potential relegation rival, will suffer from serious fixture congestion? If Burnley switch the fixture, and lose, they are gonna wish they hadnt? Why would they help out a relegation rival?

Maybe, but I’d have also thought last thing they’d want, not gonna have a massive squad so could impact them down line as well.

Its only one game for Burnley, it could be a few more for Luton.

They are signing bang average players like Chong who was on loan last season at Birmingham.
It pains me still and always will we never had Batth, Cirkin, Alese, Ballard and Stewart available. We would literally be in the Prem now..
Them signing Chong reminds me of when i slept with a lass in Ibiza who looked like a super model. When i woke up sober she had a face a dog wouldn't lick and teeth like a Witch doctors necklace

Correct.

The atmosphere at Palace is poor and identical in every game ...

... just a relentless dirge that kills any spontaneity or banter.

This season will be just like last season.

it's because they know they're being heard because of the microphones, and add to that, outlets like talksport kiss their arses and bang on about how fantastic the support is, unrivalled atmosphere blah blah blah.

You know what’s hilarious on this….

Are PL fans somehow in more peril than those in the Championship? Like how is this stadium ‘safe’ and ‘ok’ for Rotherham, Sunderland l, Norwich, but not Man City, Arsenal?

What about Burnley and Sheffield United? Their fans went there last season, will they now fall into a black hole of death if they go again?

Daft.

I was there years ago for the 5-0, it was a **** hole, but decent atmosphere and the furthest thing from ‘intimidating’ I can think of.

The town was a ****hole even compared to 20 year ago Sunderland and the people were ****ing weird.

Very good point.

Burnley have every right to tell Luton and the Premier Leauge to f**k off. I'm in no way a fan of Burnley, but that fixture list is what the manipulated "random" fixture list ended up as so they'll have to deal with it.

Burnley fans have quite rightly been excited about their return to the PL and were no doubt looking at fixtures, booking hotels, buying train tickets, etc ...

... now, through no fault of their own it's all changed before it's even started.

In the lower leagues teams often are refused promotion if their ground and facilities are not up to the level required of the league they aspire to be promoted to.

It should be no different in the professional game, if the club can't afford a new ground or adaptions to their existing ground then they shouldn't be able to be promoted.

There was never a chance Luton could make the required changes in time for the season to start

Correct, absolutely no chance they could bring that ground up to Championship level, never mind PL.

It's an absolute disgrace being purported to be 'quirky' by the media. Let's see how much fun it is for commentators having to climb iron ladders to a gantry from which there's no escape in a fire.

And to think they halved the Roker End for safety <doh>

Bit late in the day when everyone outside the Premiership knew it was unfit.
They have no chance of getting it ready this side of Xmas so where does that leave them.
Have they pinched a place from one of the other playoff finalists?.

No doubt Luton will receive the same sypathetic treatment that Coventry got last Season, having agreed that their pitch could be used for a Rugby Sevens tournament during the close season.

Hopefully our scouts aren’t necking Doves before a game.

They reckon you go through a house to get to the ground ! but they get £120m so that should help them rebuild the ground.

"It’s alleged that the club failed to ensure their spectators and/or supporters – and anyone purporting to be their supporters or followers – conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, did not behave in a way which is improper, threatening, violent and/or provocative in the 14th minute, and did not encroach on to the pitch or commit any form of pitch incursion following the final whistle."

They are going to be hit with about 20 of these next season, it’s like playing on Marley Potts field.
