The BBC have already verified they have seen the unwanted texts and have confirmed that they came from the producers phone number. We just don't know the context of these texts, because it wasn't revealed.

I've never made a claim he has nor have I ever said he has commited a criminal offence, it just comes across all a bit too grubby for me, but he's in hospital now, so we'll have to wait for answers. Personally if it had been me, I'd have been upfront and denying it, I'm not really seeing the difficulty in do that if it's all so completely innocent. I'm sure you would call stuff out too in a point blank way. He's a highly paid presenter use to dealing with pressured situations as a journalist, so it all stinks to me.
