Hmmmm......because I support qpr? Hope i'm wrong, but let's be honest, the future looks bleak. Can't see any reason to be excited about the coming season
No idea how it’s all going to pan out overall but it doesn’t look great. However that foolish optimism still kicks in and has me thinking we will survive the pessimism. So far we’ve only lost Seny and brought in a short term experienced keeper for this division. Remains to be seen what else happens in the next few weeks to derail that foolish optimism.
I'm not particularly looking forwards to this coming season, I think we will be crap, probably crapper than last season. Will go to the usual away games to support unless it just ends up being hoof ball and then I shall spend my money more wisely.
I've decided to try and buy into GA's optimism and his belief he can build a genuine togetherness and spirit in this squad. Realistically we should be in the relegation scrap, and anything higher than last season would be pretty remarkable. But I'm going with blind hope.
If we are talking about players being ‘developed’ I’m sure clubs will ask what type of football will be played and does it suit the potential loanee. And vice versa. Does Gareth want a silky skilled ball playing youngster on loan from City (as if?). Or some bloke on a legacy contract who can mix it up a bit, but is unlikely to get a kick at his home club?
I Its s easy, isn't it. Your not the only one. There are many of us that are easily fooled. We're called, Diehards!
I think he started off in our Development squad but when he made his first league appearance for us he played well by all accounts. He has been playing regularly for us and is highly thought of. Still only 23, 6ft 3" No 5. Very handy for latching on to corners, free kicks. Personally he would be missed if he goes. Judging by our signings, it looks as though he is expected to go but I hope not
GA needs to get the talents we have in the team, the Chairs, Willocks and Dykes, to overperform and not underperform as in last season. And our defence needs to remember the game starts at the first whistle and not 8 minutes in. Then we can win the relegation battle coming...
I was nearly as downbeat before last season. Poor end to previous season, unknown fat bloke in charge. This didn't improve after the opener where we had no shots on target nor corners. The first few games concern me as much as the team. Managers need early momentum and with the run of away games I can see GA under pressure before the end August.
