You'd think so. He seems a strange guy though.

I think Kane is in his comfort zone, everything has always seemed to have gone well for him on a personal level, he's in control of everything at Spurs and England.

The problem is at 29/30 years old you don't realise it's time to move on, then in another decade it will be all what ifs. You have to make the most of lifes opportunities, I think it would be good for him, I know what conversation I would be having if it was my lad.

To imagine that if Kane keeps playing for as long as Ronaldo he could be at Spurs for a long while yet, just sends shudders down the spine if he still ends up trophyless at the end of it. :cheesy:

Do you watch Kane play? His game has never been about pace. Barring serious injuries, he could easily play at the top level for another 5 years.

It doesn't matter when you get older your legs go and 80 million for a player that's best days are behind them is a great deal imo.

Take the money or end up with **** all.

Would take that tbf - given what him moving would take off the wage bill ... plus I also look at replacements coming through and we have a kid in the academy who Brenda played in pre-season friendlies a couple of years back when he was just 18 ... he's now 20 and had 2 impressive seasons in the academy ... Tawanda Mawasinhe ... plays left wing and was in the Zimbabwe sprint relay team at the Commonwealth Games ... quickest player at the club and may well now get an opportunity in the first team squad ... him and Daka together would be frighteningly pacey ...

I'm always slightly wary of your assessments on players when you seemed keen to suggest Wout Faes was good. He reminds me of when we signed Marcelino, or Boumsong, or well we've had a lot of terrible CB's and Faes looks like he'd fit right alongside them.

I've not given up on Faes ... we went on a good run after he came in (after a disastrous start to the season) but unfortunately (for us) the World Cup break did us no favours ... only time will tell of course <cheers>

Fosse's always adamant about his views on players until he's proved wrong <laugh>

Apparently, according to the Echo, they're really going for youth:

Wouldn't be far fetched to consider Everton relegation candidates or actually, favourites tbh

Can't see anything that they've done to suggest that they will do any better next season.

Signing free agent Ashley Young is a statement that sums up their ambition.

It's early days like, but haven't even seen their name mentioned beyond Young, bonkers signing.

Financials wise, wouldn't be surprised to hear they were bankrupt in a year or something. Seem absolutely broke.
