I think Kane is in his comfort zone, everything has always seemed to have gone well for him on a personal level, he's in control of everything at Spurs and England. The problem is at 29/30 years old you don't realise it's time to move on, then in another decade it will be all what ifs. You have to make the most of lifes opportunities, I think it would be good for him, I know what conversation I would be having if it was my lad. To imagine that if Kane keeps playing for as long as Ronaldo he could be at Spurs for a long while yet, just sends shudders down the spine if he still ends up trophyless at the end of it.
Munse did once tell us Bruno would be out for months when in fact he was back in 2 weeks. Not sure on his qualifications.
Do you watch Kane play? His game has never been about pace. Barring serious injuries, he could easily play at the top level for another 5 years.
It doesn't matter when you get older your legs go and 80 million for a player that's best days are behind them is a great deal imo. Take the money or end up with **** all.
I'm always slightly wary of your assessments on players when you seemed keen to suggest Wout Faes was good. He reminds me of when we signed Marcelino, or Boumsong, or well we've had a lot of terrible CB's and Faes looks like he'd fit right alongside them.
I've not given up on Faes ... we went on a good run after he came in (after a disastrous start to the season) but unfortunately (for us) the World Cup break did us no favours ... only time will tell of course
Seems fair enough since Everton will struggle to afford anyone who has reached secondary school age .
Can't see anything that they've done to suggest that they will do any better next season. Signing free agent Ashley Young is a statement that sums up their ambition.
It's early days like, but haven't even seen their name mentioned beyond Young, bonkers signing. Financials wise, wouldn't be surprised to hear they were bankrupt in a year or something. Seem absolutely broke.
Think they are relying on Luton definitely Sheff utd probably being below them so just need one other team to be a bit more **** than them and one season closer to the stadium is built ,
Big Al gettig sanctioned did for them though luckily HMG gave him enough warning so he could move his assets abroad and the ones he couldn't like properties were suddenly in trust funds that had nowt to do with him honest guv
When it happens I'll let you know Ponks ... even if you are off somewhere trying to recapture a fading unassailable lead
