Wasn’t much of the criticism of our previous manager based around him spending too much?
in the murky background of MA and his "rush" to get in the black and less of a rush to get into the top 6 / promo, only LJ would know whether RK was what he needed ...... .. due to family commitments on a Saturday [ others health reasons and aging relatives ] my visits to AG were far from regular ] I think back and believe I saw 1 game? whilst he was here , came on as a sub? In March?
CONCENSUS WAS from posts etc was that he didnt fit in, was deemed crap .. amazingly only crap on his 2 loans that season before and after did well!
It was at a time when we were in Plan??? and trying to take in/ improve/ produce youngsters that would have a value and be good for the side?
Not from me, spending then was down to Ashton, LJ ultimately failed to meet the goal set him, similarly if NP fails to reach his goal he’ll go to, IMO he’s done a pretty decent job so far, this season we need to push on though, & I believe we will. I like the mixture of experience & youth that we have, I’m really excited by several of our younger players, now it’s over to Nige and his staff to ensure they are encouraged to reach their potential.
