You wonder if his injury has lessened his agility, but he's just not up to it anymore. Pick your best keeper then see if Bairstow is good enough to get into the top 6 His batting record as keeper, especially in the 4th innings is very poor
He's just like Kohli - refuses to believe he's ever out. I remember Virat reviewing when Moeen bowled him through the gate
That was one of the worst/simplest drops by a WK I've seen in 40 years of watching test cricket. The even bigger worry now is I believe his confidence is totally shot which moving forward spells even more trouble. Not replacing him with Foakes for the last 2 tests would just be being stubborn from BM and BS. Like TopCat said if he's good enough to bat in top 6 keep him in the side for his bat. I do fancy him to score big tho in this test as said above.
I think that's a little harsh. It's a right arm fast going over the wicket to a left hander. 99/100 he's looking to take the ball at least a couple of steps to his left so you have to put your weight on your right leg to allow you to spring for the outside edge. You have milliseconds to adjust your weight and the direction of travel. Having said that, he should have taken the catch
13 drops and a missed stumping in the series... according to Nas Hussein Dreadful... Catches win matches
Shabby. Aussies normally punish those missed chances. This is our problem...when we are in good position we let it slip
Really terrible fielding mind. Awful. Absolute routine dolly. Slips too close together anyway as usual, but a Sunday club cricketer catches that. Clearly not practicing enough. They should be bowling at 7 and 8 now.
