Question.... If Coyle is not going to be the first choice RB... Does he retain the captaincy...?
I started watching City in 1993, so I joined shortly before we hit our lowest low. In a way, it’s only ever got better for me.
I remember watching John Welsh and thinking he was a really good signing, he looked neat and tidy. Never really jumped off the page careerwise.
Same with Jason Price. One game that stands out, I think it was against Doncaster at home and we had Pricey on one side and Elliott on the other. Doncaster didn’t know what to do.
Whoever the chief scout was at that time had their head screwed on.

Yes. Captaincy extends to much more than just on the pitch. He’s a consummate pro and his name is valued outside the club among the community.
I loved supporting us then, was so exciting. I loved Welsh too.
I remember nearly wetting myself with excitement when we signed Darryl Duffy.
I think club captain and on field captain should surely be a separate entity...
That’s why we have a vice captain though. And almost certainly why it was Greaves who was chosen.
He'll be club captain whilst he's still at the club and rightly so
I get that HT2... and he deserves it, but who's the leader on the pitch...
