Clarke did well to engineer the chance. Kept hold of the ball and played Stacey down the right. His cross was palmed by the keeper into Tzolis' path. It was mid height. Maybe it was a tough chance. But he should be converting.
You reminded me of John Manning who played centre forward for us in the 1960's forming a good goal scoring partnership with Hughie Curran. I looked him up and found out that he died in 2021 from Alzheimer's. Another victim of the heavy leather balls used in those days!!
It was. Apparently we waited for his contract to expire. He had a trial with us last season and must have impressed. He'll turn 20 on October first.
