Not a great look from the Aussies, but to the letter of the law it's a fair dismissal. Absolute brain fart from Bairstow

Nah nothing wrong with that for me, ball was thrown before he was out of the crease

Nothing "wrong" with it, but I've never seen it before and I've been watching for sixty years. Very sly from Carey.

Very sly for Ducket's wicket too. The law does not say " with the exception of the wicketkeeper", it says "only two players shall be on the leg side behind the wicket". Cummins was required to move one of the others if Carey wanted to take up that position before the ball was bowled. Again, very sly from Carey.

Same old Aussies. ...

Yes. But players do this all the time when the keeper is back. The law says out, but if you claim that wicket, its no better than a Mankad, which I expect Broad will now try next test.

As I say it's not a great look at all for the Aussies and it's going to create all sorts of fun and games in the next game.
Certainly spices this afternoon up

Really poor sportsmanship. The coverage are comparing it to de Grandhomme’s run out last year. I’m not so sure it’s exactly the same thing as the action was still going on.

Ponting and Morgan are saying clearly out, no fault to Australia and poor play by Bairstow. Annoying when the experts say one thing but I vehemently disagree!

Yep, it’s going to be very fiery now.
