According to Wikipedia, Begovic is 36 and only played 6 games in the last 3 years. So, if nothing else, he should be fresh! I saw somewhere that Alex Smithies might be leaving Leicester; if Dieng is leaving, I'd rather have him and he's still only 33.

If we don’t strengthen the team in any position it’s going to take good management and teamwork to improve on last season’s position.
I like the LB signing. Round peg in a round hole - cover for Paal, but much better cover than we had. Room to develop by the sounds of it but the right age to do so. Would be very happy if we got money for Dieng and got Begovic on a free. Goalkeepers can easily still be at their peak at 36 and beyond.
The last couple of tines I actually saw Begovic play, he looked truly awful. Seriously slow reflexes and dire on crosses. I'd prefer to replace Dieng with an up and coming keeper with sell on possibility.
Good luck to the young left back coming to us. Hopefully can step forward and develop having slipped down the levels a bit. Bit of a launch pad for him having already played in the championship last season. All positives.
