it's a batting track and always has been but England have basically handed the best of the pitch to Australia based on the assumption that conditions favoured bowling. it looked green, it looked overcast, maybe Australia would have done the same? England need an immediate collapse to get back into this game.
Probably. Best thing that could happen MAYBE but equally if its draining well and was properly covered and there grounds people out already sweeping etc then england might benefit from overcast conditions.
Get this last one out quick and be a good comeback for England. 350-5 and losing last 5 wickets for 50/60 runs will be good.
two great scores from guys who don't hang around and don't leave the ball. They are there to do just this hopefully pope is ok to bat.
IMO if either of duckett and crawley get 40 they've done the job asked and both have so thats quite good. the big issue is we are dependent on root getting 100 here to match smith. The rest are all aiming for 40-50 scoring quick really. they are on their 5 to 6 and over type run rate as well so we ust have to keep ticking over and see what comes here.
