Yep left back definitely would be nice .. I'm wondering just how much newcastle can spend because a good attacking midfielder will and left back will cost a **** load.

Tonali is already bringing it to about 60m with addons.

So its gonna all come to atleast over 100m if its just two players of high quality.

If these Szob rumours are true, which tbh I doubt, we are looking at over 100m just for those two alone and THEN a LB. 150m?

I would have taken 2 big players and a bunch of squaddies at the start anyway so thats fine by me.

 

Which begs the question, if we are so tight on ffp and at the same time know we have these priority positions needing reinforcing, why are we trying to sign another right back to compete with Trippier for £20m or more?

I will be honest, I find our transfer dealings and the money we are spending very difficult to follow since PIF took over.

We seem to have blasted apart FFP very quickly, then you have differing reports of money available. You have the chairman saying we must follow rules and then they spunk 60m on a single player when we have so many positions to fill

I wouldnt blame anyone if they're confused. We just have to literally sit back and watch

 

I hope not. Really want Burn to become our backup for Botman. Targett backup for a new, high quality, natural left back (not a right back who can fill in there).
