There's no guarantee whatsoever that we sign Szob, though I have seen him play a number of times for Leipzig and Hungary and he's generally looked excellent.

Would love to have signed Madders though and don't accept the argument that we moved our eyes elsewhere and "let him go". Everything suggested we were balls deep in for him and either he decided to go elsewhere or Leicester were more interested in what Tottenham were offering. Prospects are great to bring in but proven Premier league performers can't be sniffed out and Tottenham have themselves a quality player.

Said this on a thread on our board a few months ago, but anything even sniffing of negativity labels you a miserable **** on there so I've just given up.

Every single team around us will be strengthening. We have got to be on the ball and push for signings, there's no other option really. It's make or break if we really want to remain a top 6 side.

Liverpool are ready to rival Real Madrid in trying to sign Paris St-Germain'sFrance forward Kylian Mbappe, 24, with a bid of more than 300m euros (£258m), according to Fifa agent Marco Kirdemir. (Marca)

Never happening

You've got to admire Marco's front putting that pile of ****ty lies out for the papers. He's trying to earn his 10%

£100m + £5m bid gone in from Arsenal for Rice

Mental amount of money. Glad we can afford to do it, but still......

LOL
1. Liverpool would never bid £250m for a player
2. Liverpool couldn't afford to bid £250m for a player

Suspect the reported £170k a week wages might have put you off as it probably smashes your current wage structure ... apparently Daniel Levy has been personally involved in the deal ...

Rumour is that the fee will be £40-£45 million with add-ons ... plus the chance of getting Harry Winks at a 'reasonable' price ... can see that tbf ... would give us a midfield base of Winks, Dewsbury-Hall and Choudhry, which would be very good in the Championship ...

Spurs fans will love Maddison for his skill, trickery and dead-ball technique...

Wish him all the best - was great entertainment and helped the club to a first FA Cup win ...

I've been reading Leicester are interested in lascelles and hayden. Proven championship players so could work out well.

Then you've been reading pure fiction ... we're on the verge of signing Conor Coady from Wolves ... with Souttar, Faes and a couple of promising academy lads (plus possibly Jonny Evans) the centre of defence shouldn't be a problem ... neither should full back ...

I’m loving how you be consoling the Toon fans and their denials after over a year of listening to them chat out of their backsides

Spotted this on the BBC

We asked you which player you would sell this summer and which player you would bring in.

Here are some of your picks:

Barry: If Harry Kane wants to leave, I would sell him to generate £100m towards rebuilding the team. I would buy Harry Maguire to take charge of the central defence as, at present, we don’t have any central defenders who can actually defend.

JS: One in: James Ward-Prowse. One out: Davinson Sanchez (thanks for trying but goodbye).

Winks closing in on a permanent deal to Leicester.

Tears in my eyes, I’ve waited about 7 years for this moment.

Mad respect, Leicester. Not rinsing us for Maddison and also potentially taking Winks off our hands. Glorious 24 hours of news for us.

Yeh but Richarlison.

Sorry, too much happiness there for me
