Decent player. Would’ve liked him to come here this summer. Fast, direct winger. I’m not sure he’s good enough for the Prem though. He deserves a move up to one of the Championship teams pushing for promotion though, at least.

Whenever I’ve heard any transfer rumours regarding Luton this summer, they’ve all seemed underwhelming. Lewis Travis, Ben Pearson, Chiedozie Ogbene etc. would be good signings for a top 6 Championship side but Premier League? Not so sure.

Luton are doing it right. Sustainable. Worst case they come down and have a decent chance of retaining the players and going back up.

I heard Luton chief exec on 5live, they are not spending big on players, £50m of the EPL money is being used for bringing their ground up to EPL standards and the balance is put towards their new stadium. They are certainly seeing this as a cash boost for one season, and hope with a few cheap additions and with most of the players from last season they can survive.

Looking forward to watching them get tanked every week then.

It's a high-risk signing and the exact type we should be avoiding. He's 26 and this is the first good season he's had and if we'd have signed him 12 months ago, you'd have moaned like hell. This could be his breakout year and he might push on but on the balance of probabilities, it's way more likely that he's an alright player who's had a very good season. This happens all the time and most players have a standout season in their career. He upped his goal contributions by 50% in a much harder league despite playing fewer minutes and for a side that's relatively much weaker (league position).

Because he's on a Bosman, he gets lots of interest so the only way you end up with him is if you pay more than anybody else, probably 4x what you'd have had to pay him last summer. If we didn't want him last summer for a much lower cost (even including a fee), I don't see why we'd want him this summer if we're taking a reasonable approach

If we’re being linked with Sonny Bradley and Rúben Vinagre, I don’t see how that can be considered a reasonable approach. Guess we’ll see.
