If that's true I've got no idea why we're getting excited <laugh>

Not that those ****s are going to accept a deal anyway. Proper wasters.

Yeah there was over 18 months between our bid being accepted and the EPL actually agreeing to it going through. I'd totally given up on the idea of ever getting rid of Ashley.

Hummels won the league for three years running after he left; Goetze won the league for three years running after he left and also the World Cup; Dembele has won numerous trophies for Barcelona; Lewandowski has done pretty well in fairness; Aubameyang you need to discount as he went to Arsenal. Still managed to win the title with Barcelona though in fairness; Mkhitaryan has done alright, won a few cups with you and then won a few elsewhere. Just missed out on Champions league this season; Gundogan has won multiples of most things since he left too.

Admittedly Pulisic and Sancho have both struggled but they were going to teams who were changing managers with some regularity (not having a go there but it's just how it was) and didn't seem to settle. I'd argue there's been more hits than misses in the players who have moved on.

Yeah but Haaland is an outlier who's had a freak first season mate <laugh>

Only a United (or perhaps Liverpool) fan could possibly think that way ... rest of the football fan base thinking... ****, he's still a ****ing kid... how good will he be in his prime? ... reality is that if he stays free of injuries he will notch 20 plus each season without breaking into a sweat ...

Yeh I know the feeling. Did you ever get to the point where you pictured him in a horrendous plane crash somewhere over the alps?

Do fans count player records though, I know they count club records (trophies), but I've rarely taken any interest in player records, other than age and their ability to keep playing. I remember world cup golden boots, so that's an individual record, we remember when players aim to score 60 goals in a season, but beyond that?

I wanna tell you a story <max bygraves> ...

When our new American owner took over, he wanted to place pictures of past greats through the home end concourse. Anyway after it was done, I was looking at the pictures and turned to my mate and said, where is Ron Hillyard? He goes what mate...I said Hillyard he played for us more times than any other player (back in my day). The moral of that story is people don't remember as time goes by, they only remember trophies.

I didn't even know of this Shearer record, it only means something to the Spurs fans I suppose, like Hillyard meant something to me, for only time then to forget.

No mate ... except for the one for consecutive Premier League goals that Vardy holds ... everyone respects that <ok>

There was 100% ****housery involved that the Premier League was desperate to keep behind closed doors.

I watched the CAT case hearing and the Premier leagues lawyers entire attempt was to ensure it was not made public should the court case go-ahead. At the end they were told it would be made public.

One week later the takeover went through !
