Glad to hear that.

Delighted that none of us are 'popping veins':emoticon-0105-wink:

Personally don't know enough about him as a player and his baggage to get excited or not but I can't remember the last time we signed a player who scored a hat trick in the champions league.

Not sure you can reasonably just dismiss him as a poor signing on paper if there is actually something in it.

Like I say I think we'll sign a blend.

Sinik is on his way back though. If not already there.

And to whoever asked why there's no footage of Seri from today there was in a tik tok of players arriving and re shared on twitter.

His professor specs were clearly visible

Absolutely.

Personally,I'd much prefer players like Honeyman and Potter.

Potter was determined to go to the big smoke. It's open to debate whether we could have thrown more money at retaining Honeyman but with Tufan, Traore and young Vaughan you could hardly argue that we're not stronger all-round in the 10 position now.

At times during the last season, particularly during Shota’s tenure I think we was crying out for more like Honeyman who would at least show some graft. In the long run, our options are much more likely to get us to where we want to be.

Ozan was getting better and better. Traore was the star of the lot after not playing a game in 18 months.

And Slater is fast adding George's kind of tenacity also, but with potential to be better than Honeyman in 5 years (which is the age gap) time also.

I saw the debate here the other day. I couldn’t believe there was some who argued against the fact Seri/Slater/Traore couldn’t be a top 6 midfield. I think the latter two were continuing to improve and Mika is definitely at that level. Traore may well already be there, just needing some game time for fitness.

I thought the comment Liam made in his interview stood out that he now has a "fully fit Adama which I had at no point last season".

If there ever was a case of “essentially a new signing” it was him. Looking back I’m particularly disappointed his and Connolly’s availability didn’t cross as I think they’d have been a cracking pair at this level.

We seem to be linked to a lot of number 10s which surprises me, as I thought Adama would be a key player to build around. I know he’s going to miss games for Afcon and has a history of injuries, but a marquee signing could struggle for game time behind him.

You're surprised a team who doesn't create enough chances is looking for a number 10?

Given we've had no consistency in our options up front our out wide over the season then yeah.

But the fener lad is either box to box or right midfield so he's not really a 10.

I thought we’d focus on wingers. Khaveci is a little different as he looks to be primarily a winger who can play in the middle. But players like Bardhi and Twine are out and out number 10s who can do a job out wide, but not exactly the quick and skilful wingers Liam wants.
