I can't abide Elton John, bumped into him once at Nice private airport, and always thought he sounded like a pub singer ...

... but I'll be watching to see what his show is like.

I'm expecting a Kylie style performance with lots of shouting 'Glastonbury', heavy backing to disguise his voice and soppy guest appearances with tears, hugs and kisses.

Or am I being cynical ...

... who likes him and why.

Top respect for genius song writing history....and he's also 77 years old.

His live concerts are legendary, still.

He does over 2 hours. Not many will manage that at 77 mind.

What I don't get with him in why people say he's a great showman, he barely moves off his stool <laugh>
He obviously moved more when he was younger lol. When he jumped around in 8 inch platforms.
His voice is still great like. Also got Nigel Ollson on the drums. One of the very very best.
I’ve seen Nigel Olson wearing a Sunderland shirt . Hero!

It looks like he's got a nappy on under his gold trousers
- or he's in need of a hip operation.
