Indeed, it's a moral maze dilemma. Would you kill an innocent person to potentially save the life of a family member. Most people wouldn't, especially as the likely scenario is that you'd have to kill a fellow passenger with your bare hands, as I can't imagine there would be much else in that submarine.
Not an expert but I'd guess the effort involved in murdering a few people might use up more oxygen than leaving them alive.

There is a report that the sub maybe on the surface, apparently the sound it’s making isn’t the type that’s underwater, mind you it is the mirror so could be total crap..

If it is on the surface it could be bobbing along in the middle of the ocean.

Ah the media, just heard that the search for a fireman who was attempting to swim the English channel to raise money for a charity has been called off.

Just read that. What an awful thing to happen, poor bloke setting off to raise money for charity and disappears doing so.

Tragic.
Read that too, unless I missed something wasn't there a support boat with him at the start and if so where did it get to?

Tragic all the same.

Well, that is the oxygen deadline passed, looks as if those poor souls have little or no chance now to survive. You would have thought that there would have been some tracking devise onboard, so it could be located.

It's a lot easier to lose sight of things in even mildly choppy seas than most people think.
I used fish for shellfish and even using bright pink or orange buoys you could be searching for 10+ minutes some days and they were anchored to creels on the seabed so you knew they should be within a 100ft radius of where they had been dropped.I don't know the weather situ in this case and clearly something's gone wrong...as you say, tragic.

Tragic really tragic. to be doing something so amazing for charity and the benefit of others and to be taken the way. .... the weekend before Souness successfully completed his swim and raised a million. I hope theres a just giving set up for his family.

UPDATE: A remotely operated underwater vehicle has found a field of debris near the wreck of the Titanic, where rescuers are searching for the missing submersible vessel with five people on board
