Really labouring the point aren't you? The hypothetical suggestion that a YOUNG Cook would struggle to get into the team is a pointless argument because he retired 5 years before Bazball. If he was still playing now, there is no chance he'd get dropped
Sorry for bringing something up in a discussion and in reply to another poster who said he didn't believe it at all
The quandary still outstanding is about do we need a specialist wicketkeeper. I find these tense finishes unwatchable at times...
Suppose it's the cost/benefit of Bairstow's runs v Foakes superior keeping. JB may have cost us chances, but his runs (in a tight contest) could yet prove vital
Wouldn't root have the same issue as Ali with his spinning finger? Don't think he's ever bowled a massive amount of overs in a game
Dunno. Root has bowled a lot of overs in the past, wonder if this is just an unfortunate injury. I've never heard of a spinner suffering like this after bowling (relatively) few overs
They where talking about it on sky this morning that as Ali only tends to bowl 4 overs in 20/20 his fingers haven't got the resistance of a 'normal' spinner
