Well.. Gary O’Neil has been sacked by Bournemouth! And Celtic welcome back Brendan Rodgers!!

Both utterly mental decisions IMO! Rodgers couldn’t get out fast enough when an English job appeared! Gets sacked from that and they take him back!!

Completely speculative, but surely there’s more to the O’Neill sacking?

Sounds like Bournemouth have been looking around for a while with O'Neil only meant to be temporary and they've found someone they like. It's really harsh on him, but reminds me a little of when Southampton sacked Nigel Adkins. If the new man is much better, then it's a good move. There's no sentiment in football.

The Rodgers one is no surprise. He was a huge success up there and it's a safe choice for chairman and manager. The fans will shut up as long as they keep winning.

I could go up there and manage Celtic and be a tremendous success when you've only got one team to compete against.
Lack of ambition by Rodgers but I'm not surprised as I think he's a snidey ****.

I wonder if Bournemouth go for Potter.

You have to feel sorry for O'Neil. Did a hell of a good job to keep that squad up I would say. Played nice football too. I am sure he will be back in somewhere soon though. There are a lot of good british coaches and he is one of them and he deserves a better crack of the whip than he has been given.
