the gobshite romano is basically claiming Chelsea have tapped him up. complete rubbish but based on simple logic anyone can put together. arsenal want rice. they cannot afford anyone like caicedo as well. who is mad enough to buy yet another no 6. oh yeah chavs
I haven't seen any serious links to Caicedo, he's out of our price range. I think he'll end up at Chelsea.
I'd love is to sign Caicedo, I'd have preferred him to AMC. However, I agree it won't happy, too expensive
Caicedo would be an immense signing IMO - genuinely think he would be transformative. Excellent on the ball and immense defensively. However, we will be priced out of the move and I rather we get 2 good midfielders instead of just 1 (in Caicedo).
it is what it is. the guy was dumb enough to sign a new deal in February so his fee and choice of clubs closed right off for the miserly wage increase he got since.
I'm far too sentimental and I recognise that about myself so I very often view new signings differently to how others view them. For me Mac Allister looks like a Liverpool player in his physical appearance as well as his attitude. Hard things to quantify but I think he'll fit us like a glove. I have the same feeling about him joining as I had when Virgil joined. Both players chose us and really want to be here. Let's hope that Mac Allister has the same impact that Virgil had. Caicedo was on the verge of joining Arsenal when it fell through. Noises now around Chelsea. For sentimental me, I don't like the, let's say, wishy-washiness of wanting to go anywhere that is prepared to pay the fee. I realise that nobody else is bothered about any of that, they just want the best players. So do I but the enthusiasm a player has for signing for Liverpool goes a long way with me. The fans in the stadium know it as well. It's why players like Bobby, Virgil and Salah get songs. The love goes both ways.
let me put it this way. He comes off dumb as a post. As you said, a) tried his level best to force his move in january to the point of being turfed out of training by brighont. never a good look b) turned round and signed a new deal for a 40k a week pay rise (20k to 60k) so one day he want sout and then hands the keys to his future to brighton? moron. c) is courting every and any club again now. I'm with you. he can go get his money elsewhere. the more macallisters that want to play and want to play for us the better (not that his attitude can be be gauged by anything bar the manner in which is left brighton (looking rather well)
You can gauge a player's attitude very easily. Test yourself - pick any player you are familiar with and briefly describe their attitude.
Very strange quotes from Bellingham on joining Real, stating the CL final against us as a "huge factor" in his decision. Really. Him actually being there and knowing, if not at the time then certainly after, the conditions surrounding that game with our players in real anxiety throughout, not knowing if their wives and families were safe as they were supposed to be focused on the game. The players and Klopp saying that none of them spoke about the game after, the performance, the result, the tactics etc. nothing and haven't to this if I'm remembering correctly. (Honestly without looking I don't even remember the score). Knowing the extreme incompetence surrounding the whole event and the conditions under which our players had to play coupled with the lies about our fans, I'm shocked that he cited that game over anything else he could have used as a reason. He's only young so hasn't got the awareness he maybe should have but that didn't feel right.
he's buttering up the real fans. quite simple. as we say in the business bullet dodged. just sit back and wait for the real fans to turn on him like touchameni
Premier League loan would be brilliant for him. Heard Burnley are also after him. Just goes to show what a sh*t show the last window was - Ramsey and now Carvalho likely to go on loan, Darwin incredibly raw. I like to think lessons have been learnt ...
Well it all feeds into the attitude thst all as well and they only needed back ups and potential. then you get jota injured, the usual ox, keita and firmino injuries, diaz injury and finally fabinho falling off a cliff like a lemming on crack. the fact is they have now.massive gaps and work to do so must get ton with it prior to preseason. they simply can't afford to play integrate the new guys for the first 3 months of rhe season this is why macallister is important as he is as close to plug and play as we will get.
I'd be slightly skeptical of sending carvalho to West sham 1. I am sure moyes will be out before Christmas. they don't want him bit are playing the we can't sack the guy who won a trophy.l game. 2. they are big enough club to not need him despite being in same European comp as us. 3. they are too big to put a minimum game clause in deal. if I had a choice I'd send him to a smaller club
