Appears Spurs have made a £50 million bid to take both Maddison and Barnes ... which will be rejected ... Daniel Levy is a very funny guy ... ... in other news, it appears that Enzo Maresca, Pep's assistant at Citeh, impressed the Leicester City Board in interview and is on the verge of being appointed our new manager... hope so ... quite like us having Italian managers
£50m for the pair is proper shyster Levy behaviour, but you won't get anywhere near their market value seeing as you've been relegated. I'd say £40m for Maddison is realistic If either have got any ambition though they'd do well to swerve Spurs.
Think we'll get at least £40 million for Maddison (discount for 1 year left on contract) ... but won't sell Barnes unless someone comes up with a proper bid - he still has 2 years to run ...
Think you’ve been burnt on Tielemans and previous offers rejected for Rodgers. That’s got to hurt them in the pocket
I didn't realise Maddison only had 1 year to go, that puts you in an even weaker position. So anything north of £30-35m might do it. Can't see Lesta's owners throwing away another £35m-£40m like they did with Tielemans and let him walk on a free. Barnes will be determined by how much he's willing to put up with Championship football, which I'd suggest he probably won't. Even 2 years isn't a long contract Flos. If he was still on 4 years then you'd have a much better bargaining position.
We did indeed ... and he seems perplexed that the fans have been scathing about his attitude... and the way in which he has left the club ... dickhead
There is a lot if interest in Maddison apparently ... so we'll sell to the highest bidder - with Chelsea now making enquiries along with Spurs and Newcastle... so I think we'll do alright on the fee ...
Are you sure that he gives a **** about what the fans think ? He made it clear to the club over a year ago that he wanted to leave, but they kept him and then got nothing for him. You should show him more respect for winning the FA cup for you tbh
Chelsea ain't splashing any cash as they need to sell. Toon could come in with a decent offer, but the material facts remain that you are now championship fodder and you have to sell your best players to balance the books. So it's advantage buyer.
To be fair, when we've gone down we kept our best players and came straight back up. There will always be one or two who seek a move elsewhere as they think championship is beneath them but I think Leicester could probably keep most their players.
A lot of that depends on them balancing the books. They have the most expensive and well paid squad to ever get relegated, so they will need to shift some of those high earners.
Looks like the toon want to get a better player then I guess they'll go for Maddison when the Barella attempt fails.
