Kebano’s played about 20 matches a season since 2016 which is not very promising. I’m calling this a hopeful punt by his agent.

Just back from a ruptured achilles isnt he? He was in the Fulham side at the start of the season before injury. If he is 100% he would be a good option in this league I would think.

Fulham fans wanted to keep him this summer so it’s clearly not as bad an option as it might look on paper

PSG in for Zaha apparently. If Palace get daft money for him would they come in for Clarke with a big offer and big wages?

Ross Barkley to leave Nice in June, at the end of his contract. 29 years old. Surely be some interest in him. Not sure if he'd drop to the championship but mid or lower prem?

Experienced head that would be happy not playing every week, probably quite happy getting another contract at his age, could be good for the younger lads to learn from and especially if he's French speaking, would actually show even more intelligence from our recruitment team

I can see him going back to Everton. He’s never fulfilled his potential, but he’s probably earned a few quid along the way!

He should never have gone to Chelsea. Once you go to clubs like them, City etc. if you don't hit the ground running or fit in straight away, you'll get side lined pretty quickly and your career will stall. As a young player that's the last thing you want because it can be hard to get back on track, other clubs might not be able to afford you if you want to move on and you can risk slipping further down the pecking order. People said it years ago about Scott Sinclair, Barkley is just the next one.

27 apps for Nice who finished 9th in L1, 4 goals. I've never followed his career but I don't think he's another rodwell. Just never recovered from his move to Chelsea imo

Nothing against a bit of experience....but he doesn't seem to fit our profile. It really depends on how mentally solid these young lads are......they may not need too many experienced heads in the dressing room. Cory Evans and Danny Batth may well be enough, backed up up by a fanatic O9! Most of these kids will have more than a bit of English through watching Hollywood movies or listening to British or American music. ( Try listening to continental music! <doh>:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm )
I remember when Micky Gray was first making it into our team under Terry Butcher,I think.......I knew someone at the club who told me they weren't in the least worried about him making the step up....he had a different mentality to most of the other lads he was playing with at that time.
I believe our recruitment team may spend as much time evaluating the character of potential acquisitions as they do their footballing skills.

yep - Kalvin Phillips at City being another example of this. His career could be at the cross-roads already
